BREAKING NEWS: PM Orders Closure of All Private Shooting Ranges in Sihanoukville

SIHANOUKVILLE: Prime Minister Hun Manet has ordered the closure of all private gun shooting ranges in Sihanoukville and encouraged other, more peaceful forms of tourism.

While announcing a Sihanoukville investment program on January 31, the PM said that tourists should spend more time enjoying nature than searching for weapons. "Private clubs have the right to buy guns and ammunition," he said at the ceremony. “Tourists don't need that! Please, visit the islands insteads.”

In addition, the PM also told local administrations to stop issuing licenses for additional private shooting ranges across the country. Meanwhile, authorities are to inspect and update the ranges already in operation in other provinces.
